Phish has been jamming for more than 30 years now—many have come to terms with their five-year “hiatus”—and the release of their latest track, “Waiting All Night” proves this group’s grooves are still potent for Phish fans.

The song comes from a new 10-track LP, Fuego, produced by Bob Ezrin and recorded at four different studios: Ronnie’s Place and Anarchy Studios in Nashville, Fame Recording Studios in Muscle Shoals, Ala., and The Barn in Burlington, Vt. The album, the first in five years, includes material from individual members—Trey Anastasio, Jon Fishman, Mike Gordon, Page McConnell—in the usual Phish custom, but a bulk of the material was also written by the four of them, working together.

“For years, there’s been a distinct difference between how we did things live and how we did them in the studio,” Jon Fishman said in a press release. “But the way we go about things live, the way the musical ball is passed around, is now happening much more in the studio – not because we’re trying to duplicate how we play on stage, just because this is how we operate as a band, period.”

The album is set for a June 24 release. Get a taste of Fuego from “Waiting All Night” below.
