Pixies Announce NYC Come On Pilgrim…It’s Surfer Rosa Shows

Pixies are celebrating the 30th anniversary of their first-ever release—eight-track mini-album/EP Come On Pilgrim, originally put out in 1987, and soon followed by their acclaimed debut full-length, 1988’s Surfer Rosa—by reissuing both releases as Come On Pilgrim…It’s Surfer Rosa, out on Sept. 28 via 4AD. Tuesday, the band did us one better, announcing a series of New York City shows during which they will perform both of their debut releases in full.

The intimate shows are set for Nov. 18-20 at NYC’s Brooklyn Steel, following Pixies’ sold-out Come On Pilgrim…It’s Surfer Rosa shows at London’s Roundhouse and Mexico City’s Teatro Metropólitan. In addition to performing their rookie releases from start to finish, Pixies will also trot out “additional songs from that time period that are not on the anniversary release,” per a press release. Tickets go on sale this Thursday, Sept. 20 at noon ET.
