Porches Releases Water EP, Shares Video for Previously Unreleased Song “Black Dress”

Following the February release of his second LP Pools, Porches’ Aaron Maine has shared Water. The eight-track EP gives fans access to raw versions of tracks from Pools, along with two previously unreleased songs, “Black Dress” and “Black Budweiser T-Shirt.”

Recorded by Maine in New York City, Water sheds light on the dramatic transition from Porches’ folky debut release Slow Dance In The Cosmos to the rudimentary electronic sound of Pools.

“It was a loose and explorative time for me,” explained Maine in a statement. “I wanted to release a select few of these ‘demos’ because I always find the excitement captured by recording a song when you first write it to be almost impossible to recreate later down the line.”
