Purling Hiss Announce Interstellar Blue EP, Share Lead Single “Useful Information”

Philadelphia-based indie rockers Purling Hiss have shared “Useful Information,” the opening cut from their just-announced EP Interstellar Blue.

“Useful Information” sprawls with laid-back psych-rock-via-blues instrumentation. The running bass line sets the scene, keeping the nearly six-minute long track moving with ease while a dripping guitar sweats out the understated lyrical anxiety. “Women and their children / Writing on the wall / Useful information / watch how they will fall,” frontman Mike Polizze dejectedly croons.
