The Red Hot Chili Peppers Made A Truly Awful “Campaign Song” For Bernie

Bernie Sanders has done well recruiting celebrities and musicians to his cause thus far. In January, a Rostam-less Vampire Weekend played at his rally in Iowa, and Run the Jewels’ Killer Mike has been traveling all over the country in support of the senator from Vermont. Also feeling the Bern are the Red Hot Chili Peppers, who are taking time out of a schedule that includes working on a new album with Danger Mouse to stump for Sanders. Unfortunately, that stumping includes this unfortunate, grating, cacophonous message delivered on singer Anthony Kiedis’ Instagram. Longtime fans of the Chilis, you might want to cover your ears.

We sincerely hope this will not be performed when the Chili Peppers headline Montreal’s Osheaga Music Festival this coming July.
