Savannah Stopover Music Festival Sets Full Lineup

The Savannah Stopover Music Festival has confirmed 87 bands to perform for the festival’s seventh year. The festival will take place in historic downtown Savannah, Ga., from March 9-11.

Savannah Stopover is known for its affordability and celebration of up-and-coming bands that many people have never heard of. The festival’s CEO and founder Kayne Lanahan said, “It’s very unique in today’s world of high-priced concert tickets and mainstream headliner-driven festivals. If you haven’t heard of a lot of these bands yet, that’s the whole point.”

This year’s lineup includes Paste favorites like Kishi Bashi, Julien Baker, JEFF The Brotherhood, Hoops, Daddy Issues, Lee Fields & The Expressions and Vagabon. Four new acts were just added, as well: CUSSES, Curtis Harding, Lillie Mae Rische and Taze Daze.

While pre-sale passes are currently sold out, general admission and VIP passes are on sale here. Compared to other music festivals, the Savannah Stopover Festival is definitely in a more realistic price range, with single-day passes selling for $34 and three-day passes for $79. In comparison, a four-day pass to Bonnaroo is $324.50, and does not include a car camping pass.

Back in 2011, Savannah Stopover was listed on Paste’s “Seven Cool Music Festivals You’ve (Maybe) Never Heard Of.” Check out photos of last year’s Savannah Stopover, described as “pre-SXSW,” in our gallery here. We’re fans of all the fresh faces and the overall DIY vibe. See below for the festival lineup in both poster and text forms, and click here to see the full festival schedule.
