Watch Spoon Perform “No Bullets Spent” and More on Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Ahead of the release of their forthcoming greatest hits album, Spoon stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! to perform their latest single “No Bullets Spent.”

Featured on Everything Hits At Once, which is out July 26 via Matador Records, “No Bullets Spent” is a straightforward rock song filled with frontman Britt Daniel’s signature vocals and buzzing guitar licks. The track was written by Daniel, and features lyrics advocating for gun control and violence prevention in America. With no bells or whistles, the band played the track and let the audience bask in the roaring guitar and political lyrics.

Other than “No Bullets Spent,” the band performed six tracks off-air, including, arguably, their biggest hit “The Underdog,” from their 2007 album Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga, and “I Turn My Camera On,” off the band’s 2005 album Gimme Fiction.

Spoon are currently on a co-headlining tour with Cage the Elephant and Beck, which continues until the end of August. Recently, Spoon’s bassist, Rob Pope, announced he’d be leaving the band and sitting out their tour. After 13 years in the band, Pope said he’d decided to step aside and spend more time with his family and personal projects.
