1972 was a big year for Wonder as he spent much of it opening for The Rolling Stones on their Exile On Main Street Tour, which expanded his audience, and the following year, he released Innervisions, one of the greatest and most important albums of his career. Though Wonder and his band, Wonderlove, were one of many opening acts that played this One to One Benefit, which was headlined by John Lennon, he put on a show-stopping performance of three all-time great songs: “Superwoman (Where Were You When I Needed You),” “Superstition” and “Keep On Running.”
