Watch the Lush New “Garden (Say It Like Dat)” Video Starring SZA, Her Mom and Donald Glover

Earlier this week, SZA teased a new video for her CTRL track “Garden (Say It Like Dat),” starring her mom and Donald Glover. It dropped today, and it’s a lush, balmy scene-scape of a mini-film. You can watch it below.

Directed by Karena Evans (of Drake’s “Nice for What” and “God’s Plan” fame), the video follows SZA as she traipses through, first, a sunbathed rainforest with ample botany and, later, a pebbly seashore. A studly Glover stars opposite SZA (aka Solána Imani Rowe) during the jungle scenes. Audrey Rowe, SZA’s mom, whose voice recordings appear on “Garden” and throughout the record, materializes towards the end of the video.

This is the second time SZA and Glover have tag-teamed a film project in recent weeks—SZA also made a cameo appearance in the video for Childish Gambino’s symbolic “This Is America,” which recently unseated Drake’s “Nice for What” to claim the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Top 100.
