To the press outlet that branded Morris as having quote, “shitty lyrics,” Morris replies, “See for yourself in the video for the song ‘Drownin’ on a Mountaintop’ which is a song (lyrically and sonically) about giving a rip what critics think and doing what you want…Enjoy and share the shit out of it.”

Morris just put out his second solo album, the americana-grunge hybrid, Hardy & the Hardknocks: Drownin’ on a Mountaintop. And, thanks to PopMatters, check out the animated lyric video, the album’s namesake, in which he mercilessly takes a shot at his critics.
