Alt-pop quartet The Gift have returned with their new song “Love Without Violins,” set to release via their own label, La Folie Records, on Sept. 30. The lead single from their forthcoming album features none other than Brian Eno, who co-wrote and produced the track, as well as some of the LP.
“We were not thinking about the roles of each one in the band,” Eno said of the forthcoming album in a press release. “Sometimes we exchanged instruments, and some of them tried an instrument for the first time.”
Due out sometime next spring, the Portuguese band’s seventh studio album will premiere The Gift’s newly developed experimental sound. You can pre-order the album here, listen to “Love Without Violins” here and watch a teaser for the single’s music video, which premieres on Sept. 26, below.
