The Head and The Heart Announce New Album, Share First Single

The Head and The Heart have announced that their new album, Living Mirage, is due May 17 via Warner Bros. Records/Reprise Records. The band also released their first single from the forthcoming LP, a bittersweet but upbeat ode to reverie titled “Missed Connection.”

“This is literally the most work we’ve ever done on an album,” says Jon Russell, one of the band’s guitarists. “These songs feel honest.”

Early last year, the folk-rock group gathered together in the Mojave Desert’s Joshua Tree to shed old skin before starting work on what would soon become their fourth studio album, Living Mirage. If “Missed Connection” is any indication, shed old skin they have, with the band’s signature earthy Americana giving way to brighter, more expansive and contemplative sounds.

The Head and The Heart also announced a special livestream performance to take place at The Belasco in Los Angeles next week on March 21. Fans will be able to tune into the stream beginning at 11:30 p.m. ET on The Head and The Heart and Live Nation’s Facebook pages to watch the intimate performance, hear songs from the new album for the first time, and be the first to hear another major announcement from the band about their plans for this summer and fall across North America.
