The Internet Want You to “Come Over”: Watch the New Video from Hive Mind

The Internet frontwoman Syd gets old-school romantic, throwing rocks at her love interest’s window, in the video for their new song “Come Over.” “Come Over” is the latest single from the band’s forthcoming album Hive Mind, due out July 20.

The video, directed by Syd herself, is colorful, funny and oh-so-relatable for anyone who’s been young and in love (or lust). It shows each member hanging out with their partner in color-coordinated outfits in between band rehearsal while Syd struggles to persuade her boo to come over.

A cameo from “he got money” girl Quinta Brunson and a mid-guitar solo interruption from band member Patrick Paige II remind us how absurd young love can be. As Syd is dancing and serenading her partner in the yard below her window, Bronson pulls out her phone and starts recording (presumably to Snapchat her friends about this weird thing she stumbled upon). Syd pays her no mind, infatuated with the woman in front of her.

Paige admonishes guitarist Steve Lacy’s guitar solo for “fuckin’ up the whole vibrations” before they jump right back into the funky groove of things. It’s a video that’ll make you, too, want to grab your boo and eat cereal in bed to some soft, bouncy music.

The Internet will be touring for the rest of 2018, joining Gorillaz as an opening act for some of their shows, including their Demon Dayz LA festival. Watch the “Come Over” video and check out The Internet’s tour dates below.
