The Queens Museum Announces Special Exhibit for The Ramones

The Ramones are getting a unique tribute at The Queens Museum in New York City.

The famed punk rockers will receive a retrospect of their lengthy career, organized by various themes relating to the Forest Hills artists. You’ll be able to browse more than 350 pieces from the band’s archive based on places, events, songs and artists.

While there, attendees can view rare artifacts from the band’s history, including an unearthed early press package and early flyers and lyrics. Punk Magazine’s co-founder John Holmstrom’s commissioned cartoon map following The Ramones’ journey from Forest Hills to the downtown nightclub CBGB will also be on display.

The exhibit, titled “Hey! Ho! Let’s Go: Ramones and the Birth of Punk,” will run from April 10 to July 31. A secondary show, organized in conjunction with the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles, will open on Sept. 16 and close in March of 2017.
