Thundercat has shared a charming new music video for his song “Tokyo.” The track is from his latest LP, Drunk, which released earlier this year.
In the video, the Grammy-winning bassist embraces his inner nerdiness while exploring Tokyo, playing videogames and browsing action figures. It’s fitting scenery for a song that references Dragonball Z and spending all of your money on animé. Directed by Jun Hanamoto-Hearn, the video was shot on location during Thundercat’s tour earlier this year.
