Weyes Blood —the trippy folk identity of multi-instrumentalist Natalie Mering—performed at the Park Church Co-Op in Brooklyn’s Greenpoint neighborhood last week. Blood’s sophomore LP, Front Row Seat To Earth, debuted last month, distilling the artist’s sonic experimentation into an intense, personal collection of singer-songwriter gems built on Mering’s crystalline voice. The group performed those tracks as well as cuts from 2014’s The Innocents. Paste photographer Drew Reynolds captured the colorful, sold-out show, including a soundcheck performed at lower volume to accommodate a visiting prayer group.
