Aaron & Michelle’s story is truly one of love and loss. They first met on April 9, 2006 and fell in love almost immediately. On May 20, 2006, they were engaged and then married September 23 of the same year. They have been leading Praise and Worship together ever since.Their lives took a dramatic turn in February of 2010. Michelle was 12 weeks pregnant with their first child, and they had gone to the clinic to hear the heartbeat for the first time. Instead, they received the terrible news that their baby had passed away. That same day was the beginning of the blizzard of 2010. Stranded in their house for a week by 3 feet of snow, there was nothing that they could do but face what had happened and cry out to God.
Aaron and Michelle grieved a total of three miscarriages that year. They were also faced with Michelle’s mother becoming pregnant, losing her twins, and then battling cancer. Michelle’s grandmother was also diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer and went to be with the Lord in March of 2011.
Matthew 11:28-30 says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” James 4:8 promises that if we would draw near to God then He would draw near to us.
In June of 2011, Aaron & Michelle began writing and recording songs that reflected their journey through the “valley of the shadow of death”, and of God’s love and faithfulness every step of the way.
God has brought them from a place of hurt, disappointment and frustration to a place of peace, hope and restoration, and it is their desire that you experience the same.
