Texas native, Anastasia Osho is a Christian Singer/Songwriter who's a survivor in every sense of the word. After surviving a turbulent childhood and conquering cancer as an adult, she has proven that the healing power of God still works in today's Godless society. She writes music to inspire people to have a closer relationship with Jesus Christ. She wants every person to know they are fearfully and wonderfully made and have a purpose beyond their imagination. Her sound is considered Contemporary Gospel/ Inspirational and is a blend of pop, rock, and soul. Her music is inspired by the Holy Spirit of God and her major influences are Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Luther Vandross, The Winans, India Arie and rock music from the 80's and 90's. She was also largely influenced by the music of the late 80's and early 90's i.e. Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Des'ree, Seal, Maxwell, Sade and Janet Jackson. She also pays homage to the great Patti Labelle, Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan, Gladys Knight, and Diana Ross. She also admires the songwriting/productions of Quincy Jones, Smokey Robinson, Babyface, Marvin Gaye, and Bill Withers.
Anastasia has been writing songs since childhood. At the age of 12, Anastasia pinned "Just Keep on Tryin'"; a song she wrote to encourage herself because she suffered many challenges during that time. She literally, "sang her way out of a depression". She has written over 100 songs since.
Her most recent project was a collaboration with Nigerian Gospel sensation, Kenny K'ore on her original song, "Holy Spirit Fall on Me". In 2014, "Holy Spirit Fall on Me" was awarded the "Honorable Mention Songwriting Award" in the Song of the Year Contest. The award winning Nigeria-based producer, Wilson Joel, produced the track. Anastasia looks forward to more collaborations with local and international artist alike.
Anastasia now lives in Huntsville, TX with her husband and son.
