After attending the Austin Live Music Academy in 2009, Ben decided to turn his solo acoustic act into a full-band experience. With the addition of home-town chum, Britton Byfield, the two began writing songs and developing the new sound. Within the year, Ben Baxter formed a four-piece band, including Joe Strelsky and Dom Ferrario. The group later won the southern region of Chegg's "National College Battle of the Bands". The band also gained local media attention after being dubbed "Austin's answer to Jack Johnson," by UWEEKLY.
Their high energy live shows keep the audience grooving and dancing to their authentic sound of funk, soul, and good ol' rock and roll.
"It's kind of like Lenny Kravitz and Dave Matthews had a bastard kid" - random radio caller on Austin's Rock 93.7 FM.
