“Light to Light,” from the verse of Who is Like the Lord, recalls Psalm 84 – the pilgrim on a journey to Zion, going from strength to strength, covering the land in pools of blessing. As I pass from one light, one buried treasure of revelation to the next, I learn more of who he is, and I learn to relish his closeness. I am still settling into the fact that this journey will take my whole life, and still learning how to enjoy its progression through time. I’m a novice at this kind of pilgrimage. Yet, I am confident, through all my question about God and religion and church, all my doubts about whether or not we’ve got it exactly right (we probably don’t, right?), his presence is steadfast, and all that I need. He remains faithful. I hope you’re growing in your knowledge of this too, as you build his kingdom from the stones of your life.
