Darla began writing songs at the age of 15 as she tried to make sense of tragedy when her dad died from liver cancer. She spent hours at the piano in her living room, trying to process what death and life look like. During those times of worship, she learned more and more about the unchanging character of God. The focus of her songs began to shift away from sorrow and more towards hoping and trusting in her Father.
As a college kid, she writes songs about navigating the life God wants her to live-- including the challenges and joys of walking with Him.
Her EP, Carousel, is now available on Spotify, iTunes and Amazon.
