Five Headed Cobra

For fans of:Queens of the Stone Age, Eagles of Death Metal, Ghost, Turbonegro, Mastodon

What do you say about an EP that features one mythic Rock ‘N’ Roll guitarist after another and some of the coolest producers to have ever walked the face of the earth?

In 2017 at the famed studio, Rancho De La Luna, in Joshua Tree, California, Dave Catching of Eagles of Death Metal and Chris Goss of Masters of Reality, Queens of the Stone Age, teamed up to produce the first in a series of master recordings by Los Angeles based, post-occultic, Rock ‘N’ Roll outfit, Five Headed Cobra. Conceived by Nik Frost, after the music world was devastated by the loss of a number of major and well-loved artists, Frost started writing with good friend, Gotti Curse from local LA band, Blackpool Republic. Says Frost, “He’d just been unceremoniously fired from a band he started and we were both in this weird space so we decided to hide out in the desert for awhile”. There, with a hard hitting rhythm section comprised of Kelly Hagerman (Drums) and Ronnie Elvis James (Bass), the music for “Rock ‘N’ Roll Is Dead,” was conceived. Word spread and soon the sessions morphed into epic parties, which included the likes of Brent Hinds (Mastodon), Chad Ginsburg (CKY), Dave Kushner (Velvet Revolver) and others. Eventually Alain Johannes (QOTSA, Them Crooked Vultures, Eleven), Marc Diamond (The Dwarves, Motochrist), Todd Youth (Bloodclot/Danzig/Motorhead), Ace Von Johnson (Faster Pussycat, U.S. Bombs) and Damon Fox (The Cult, Big Elf) joined in, and the band’s debut Extended Play recording was completed. Mixed by two-time Grammy award winning Mixer/Producer, J.J. Blair, “Rock ‘N’ Roll Is Dead” is a hard hitting, 6 song, breath of white hot desert air.
