Forastero's debut EP is the sum of the creative impulses of a young man (Esteban Gonzalez) who desperately wanted to make his own music, but couldn't find band mates to make it with, so "why not make music myself". Equipped with only a Macbook and his Telecaster, he aimed at making music that allowed him to express his bottled up feelings regarding his faith in Jesus Christ, newly found romantic interests and his drive to persevere in life no matter the challenges. Underneath the apparent simplicity of his lyrical and musical arrangements lie a world of sonic soundscapes with an upbeat yet mellow approach to pop music. Forastero aims to convey a powerful message of love, faith and overcoming obstacles but in small/manageable doses, all bundled in innovative and melodic musical flair. In his debut, Forastero proves there is beauty in simplicity.
