Helen Gray

Velvet and Steel is a small cross-section of songs spanning a twenty-year period, a mixture of newbies and re-produced numbers brought together in a similar style. Piano and string layers combine as the foundation of each arrangement, supplemented with African Djembe as an unusual main percussive element. The title track forms an exception to this approach, being Helen's first foray into a more Bluesy genre.
