Herbie van Tetering

Herbie is a jazz musician, composer, and multi-instrumentalist. His main instrument is piano, followed by jazz trumpet, jazz guitar, compositional techniques and synthesizers. Aside from the beforementioned instruments, Herbie also plays acoustic double bass, drums, electronics and african instruments. He performs live in American, German and Dutch clubs like Wally's, Connoly's, A-train, Yorckschlösschen, Cologne, B-flat, Murphy's Law, Blue Note, Acud, Edelweiss, Pater, Dot Club, on the Street and in Church. Amongst Herbie's role models are Chick Corea, Billy Childs, Herbie Hancock, Junko Onishi, Bill Evans, Kenny Wheeler, Terence Blanchard, Nils Petter Molvaer, Thomasz Stanko and Byron Wallace. When he is not practicing, he is writing for his debut Quartet and Trio and recording in his hybrid analog tape studio.
