California based Jackie Greene was an early musical prodigy, a guitarist at 14 who could sit in with established bands in clubs. He explores music through all kinds of instrumentation, loves the Blues as much as rock and jam bands, composes prolifically, and embodies a musician dedicated to the art of live performance. For over a decade he has been collaborating and performing with the likes of B.B. King, Phil Lesh, Huey Lewis, Taj Mahal, Gov't Mule, members of Mother Hips and Buddy Guy. His 2005 song "I Will Never Let Go" was featured in the film Brokeback Mountain, and more recently he joined a stellar line-up of musicians on January 8, 2011 to celebrate the 80th birthday of Bill Graham, a fundraiser for The Bill Graham Foundation. Jackie stopped by Wolfgang's Vault that day to share with us these tunes.
