Description
Hi I'm Janice and I'm very excited to be releasing my first album for you to download for free! I'm 29 and originally from Maghera in N.Ireland. I spent some time at the University of Ulster studying environmental health and then worked in social care for the past six years caring for all ages. Throughout that time I have always loved music. I play the guitar and sing a wee bit too. You will hear from my album that I particulary love harmonies! I am not quite sure how to describe the style of the music or the way I sing so I will leave that up to you.
I suppose this album has been in the pipeline for a few years now and I wrote some of the songs back then. Other songs came to me when I started recording the album in summer 2014. I have written all of the songs myself apart from "Red is the colour", which is based on the melody of the folk song, "Black is the colour" (with my own lyrics). You will hear me on lead vocals, harmonies, acoustic guitar and even a little bit of djembe! I have really enjoyed creating and recording this music so far and I hope you will enjoy listening to it. The album is a reflection of my journey with God over the past few years and how He has carried me through so much and brought healing to my life. I hope that as you listen to the music you will experience God's comfort and love too. One last and most important thought is that I never thought in a million years I would be writing and recording songs. I really have to thank God for helping me to do this. He is my First love.
