Description

Melon & The Mayhem's second EP, Bluerise, released March 28, 2014. The five-piece indie pop band based is in Nashville, TN. Blending 1940s cabaret singer style with big band jazz, Melon & The Mayhem create a modern electronic-influenced sound with vintage roots. Singer-songwriter Mary Ellen "Melon" Klein fronts the band, singing and playing piano. Originally from Atlanta, GA, her roots are clearly reflected through clever lyrics and a soulful singing style. "The Mayhem" refers to the strong and wild energy brought to the stage by saxophonist Ryan Swinehart, drummer Tim Provence, and bassist Eric Santagada.
