Often mixing catchy lyrics and melodies with vocals ranging from soft and sweet to screaming with emotion, Mike Mains has set himself apart in the world of indie rock. Mains’ live show has always been highly energetic by weaving crowd participation with feel-good songs that everyone sings along with, whether they are new or longtime fans. Even while playing with bands such as Twenty One Pilots and mewithoutYou, Mains' performances stand out and live on long after his final song ends. Diversity has been a key to his success. Mains has an ability to find common ground with any listener’s mood. Ranging from alternative rock with his song “Noises,” emotional heartbreaking lyrics found in “Emma Ruth,” and the upbeat reassurance that “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright,” he guides the listener through the highs and lows of everyday life.
Now focusing on his solo journey of traveling the world while singing and bleeding sweet rock ‘n’ roll, Mains is taking a new approach — embracing his love of pop music. Mains’ new single, “My Way,” featuring YACHTMONEY, is set to release September 6th and can only be described as a song full of spine-tingling summer vibes.
Mike Mains is set to release his solo album, Renegades, in spring 2018.
