This song was written for my church in Duluth, MN. It was an attempt to write a gospel song. My church loves gospel. The attempt, however well intended, failed but not without some fruit. The song turned out good, just not gospel. The church music team embraced it, and the church seemed to enjoy singing it. Then, my pastor had the idea of doing a television commercial for our church. We needed original music to avoid copy-write issues. I knew Faithful, Faithful God would be a great fit for the project, but the song was not recorded. We hastily recorded the singers after church on a Wednesday. I stayed up late into the night tracking instruments. The next day, I finished tracking my voice and a few instruments, mixed, mastered, and sent the song into the t.v. station. It was quite a hurrah, but I think it was worth it.
