What is your understanding of love? Where did you first get it from? A movie? A tv show? A fairytale?
Is it strictly an emotion? A feeling?
Is it something that fades after a year, a month, a week, a day, a moment?
Does it go further than these time periods?
Does it require commitment? If so, for how long?
Are there conditions to giving and receiving it?
If so, what are they?
Whatever way we define it, the common agreement is we all want it. How do we get it?
believe most answers to these questions reveal that we were taught a
common misconception of what love truly is. I believe this common
misconception of love has led us to heartbreak, disappointment, &
betrayal. I believe this common misconception of love is so deceitful
that most of us are utterly convinced it is love, when in reality it is
only a shadow, a drifting mirage.
So what can we call this
understanding of "love" that's not really love? It looks like it could
be the real thing, but it's far from what it actually should be.... I
call this LXVE.
