In a bobsled race, the push only takes 5 seconds, but it can mean the difference between winning and losing. That's what inspired the title song on this sampler, PUSH. The other two songs are earlier collaborations between Julian Stacey and Hannah Rand, who make up the Strands.
The song, Push, was recently chosen by DeVry University, an official education provider of the USOC, to use in a music video tribute to the over 100 Team USA athletes who are students at DeVry, and in honor of all the athletes involved in the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics. The video features bobsledders Steven Holcomb and Elana Meyers, who have both won medals in the 2014 games.
"Push" was written by Julian Stacey. "Where Did Love Go" was written by Hannah Rand. "Keep Your Head Up" is a cover of an Andy Grammer song, written by Nazim Khaled, Melissa Marie Madeleine Zohra N'konda, and Andrew Charles Grammer.
