Tom Hanson

First solo album released in 2001. A lo-fi, home project, Tom initially intended merely to share it with a small circle of friends. However, he eventually decided to offer the CD as a full, free online download–something rare in 2001. He also provided complimentary copies for folks who otherwise couldn't afford them. This process led to a few positive reviews–including one on the main Nick Drake website–and interest in the album began to grow. Soon Tom was heading to the post office several times each week to ship out CD's and spending a good deal of time communicating with listeners. He received some encouraging feedback and made many new friends, including several who have remained close over the years. Tom's most popular song to date–My Love in Blue (featured on the TV show “One Tree Hill”)–is on this album.
