This poem from Tolkien's The Hobbit tells the backstory of the Dwarves of Erebor, and it awakens the adventurous side of Bilbo. It is sung by Thorin's Dwarwes in Bagend, but as Tolkien left no music with it, there has been many (great) musical adaptations. Here's my take at it. I chose to focus on the Dwarves' nostalgia for the beauty of Erebor and the mastery of its craftsmanship - where the dwarf smiths used to "mesh the light of Moon and Sun". Hope you enjoy the song and if you do, please comment and repost!
