Bridge Music Street Lights is a collection of recollections. During the time writing this project and several others I "might" release, my younger brother was in prison more than a thousand miles away. My 2 year marriage was on a 6 month break while I was right in the middle of what I felt was the peak of my dreams. A lot of situations that came along helped me to see bigger connections in my ghetto struggle God's purpose for my life. I bought a big house in a place super close to my heart. Even better closer to home. This is what happens when you get to know you for yourself with no approval!
Yaya Jonez is the perfect example of what happens when street life collides with religion. Yaya uses his life experiences to confront the religious ideas and tradition. God Still loves you. Even in the streets.
I have a vision for the things around me and won't stop until I see it...
First I want to thank my life for being a curiously stupid as it is. God is pretty gangsta for that one. I have the kind of life that makes you wander off into the dark hallway just to see what's there. I want to thank My dear and close friend Jason Summers who always listens to me whether I'm making sense or not. Umsl fam that supported me. 227 band, Zagk Gibbons, Gaslight Studios, Dynasty Television, Esther "Star" Jones, Youtube and google. Forreal Tho! Regardless of the condition my relationship is with my wife by the time you get this, I appreciate you Joi to measure we may never be able to agree on. I believe that. Thanks to my team, Gia, Will, Bru, Yano, The OneZ, My mothers, brothers, sisters and cousins who participated and got it in when I needed them to. Thank God For Love. Thank God for thanks and most of all I thank God for Ezra.(God's Help)
Much Love Kings and Queens
