We have a new development in the love-hate relationship between the mainstream media and the President of the United States.
My instinct is to applaud CNN for so openly pushing back against a president determined to become America’s version of Kim Jong-Il—where the only truth that exists comes from Dear Leader.
Any article that praises the mainstream media for taking on Trump must acknowledge the fact that mainstream outlets effectively became a Trump PAC during the election, giving him more free media than any candidate ever. In just February of 2016 alone, Trump received $400 million worth of free media, which was more than John McCain spent throughout his entire 2008 campaign. So, I guess the message is: kudos to the media for taking on the Frankenstein that they helped to create.
