NRA Spokesperson Dana Loesch Begged a Producer to Star in Sitcom as “Hot Young Mom Who Does Far-Right Radio”

As NRA spokesperson Dana Loesch took the stage at CNN’s Town Hall with the survivors of the Parkland school shooting, Paul Guyot, a writer and producer of TV and film, revealed that she approached him a decade ago with a concept for a sitcom in which she would star.

In case you can’t see the tweet above, the Geostorm writer said, “Dana Loesch came to me [ten years] ago pitching a sitcom starring herself: ‘A hot young mom who does far right radio show.’” Guyot explained that she thought “everyone would watch” because of “her age and looks would make one side hate her and one love her” and that Loesch “was obsessed with the potential fame and money.” He ultimately turned her down.

Her appearance at CNN’s Town Hall did prove that she could make a large amount of the population get upset at her. Who knows if the show would’ve done the same, but Loesch’s forthcoming hour-long commercial-free program on NRA TV will give us another chance to decide if we’re on her side or not. No spoilers.
