Update on Tom Perez’s DNC: In Perfect Symbol of Total Ineptitude, They Can’t Even Spell Winning Anymore

It’s hard to think of a more hated figure around Paste Politics hq than Tom Perez, sentient yawn and feckless centrist. (Oh wait, no it’s not—Trump.) Whether he’s boldly fighting against raising the minimum wage, or boldly elevating primary cheaters to prime leadership positions, or boldly failing to raise money, or boldly kicking anyone with a remotely progressive agenda off of important committees and simultaneously reducing diversity, Tom Perez sucks. His DNC sucks. There’s a ton of energy around progressive politics, and he’s seized absolutely none of it. He’s regressive and cowardly and awful.

So—what I’m about to show you may be a minor proofreading error, but it’s also a perfect symbolic reflection of how bad Perez and his DNC apparatchiks are at…well, everything:

I like to imagine their allergy to winning runs so deep that as they tried to type out the word on their boring Powerpoint presentation, they broke out in hives and began sneezing uncontrollably, and couldn’t quite manage that second “n.”

These people are hopeless.
