Brothel Owner Wins GOP Primary in Nevada

In the latest “is there a glitch in the simulation?” news, the good people of Nye County, Nev. have voted for a pimp in a Republican primary for state legislature. You heard us right, a pimp.

Dennis Hof is the owner of half a dozen legal brothels in Nevada, according to the Associated Press. He also stars on the HBO adult reality series Cathouse. You may also remember Hof from that time in 2015 when Lamar Odom was found unconscious at his Love Ranch brothel in Crystal, Nev.

Hof, who calls himself “The Trump of Pahrump,” defeated three-term lawmaker and hospital executive James Oscarson, taking 43 percent of the vote to Oscarson’s 36 percent. The remaining 21 percent went to a third candidate. Hof will face Democrat Lesia Romanov in November and is favored to win in the right-leaning rural district.

The people of Nye County can thank President Donald Trump for Hof’s perseverance—he lost to Oscarson in 2016 as a Libertarian candidate. In a phone call with the AP, Hof said, “It’s all because Donald Trump paved the way for me.” Hof also held a rally with longtime Trump adviser Roger Stone.

We are living in the future, where truly anything can happen and apparently, anyone with even an inkling of political inclination can clinch a legislative position.
