Rush Limbaugh, Who Called Hurricane Irma a Hyped-Up “Lie,” Evacuates South Florida

It’s one thing to hold the opinion that Hurricane Irma is a “lie” designed by liberals to hype up the the global warming narrative, and to bray that opinion, jackass-like, across American radio waves. I can disagree, I can loathe the man who does it, but hey, that’s free speech.

All I ask is this: Stick to your guns, my man!

Rush Limbaugh couldn’t do that. According to ThinkProgress, America’s foremost bloviator is evacuating his home base in South Florida.

Here’s what Limbaugh said on Tuesday:

“So there is a desire to advance this climate change agenda, and hurricanes are one of the fastest and best ways to do it. You can accomplish a lot just by creating fear and panic. You don’t need a hurricane to hit anywhere. All you need is to create the fear and panic accompanied by talk that climate change is causing hurricanes to become more frequent and bigger and more dangerous, and you create the panic, and it’s mission accomplished, agenda advanced.”

And here’s what he said Thursday:

“May as well… announce this. I’m not going to get into details because of the security nature of things, but it turns out that we will not be able to do the program here tomorrow. We’ll be on the air next week, folks, from parts unknown.”

Too bad—if Limbaugh really wanted to prove the whole thing was a hoax, he should stay and brave the storm. Hell, I’d rather dip my head in burning tar than listen to his show, but if he broadcast live during Hurricane Irma? I’d tune in. What a pity.
