Seems harmless, right? She’s trying to raise money for a candidate whose election is being stolen in front of our very eyes. Kamala Harris is helping! Right?

Wrong. Read the fine print on the link that Harris shared.

Why didn’t Kamala Harris just share the Actblue link that Stacey Abrams created? All that money goes to Abrams, who needs every last cent to fight Brian Kemp’s authoritarianism. Why create a new donation link to help fight voter suppression in Georgia where half of the donations go into the pocket of a California politician?

The obvious reason why Harris would create her own Actblue link instead of sharing Abrams’ is that she wants to use the widespread passion about this race to make money for herself. It sounds awful, but if you have a more logical reason why Harris didn’t just share Abrams’ existing donation link, I’m all ears. This is why progressive outlets like Paste spend so much time raging against the Democratic establishment. They have demonstrated time and time again that they really do not care about liberal causes, and they only serve as a means to further enrich themselves and their corrupt friends.
