Republican Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn’s Obamacare Twitter Poll Did Not Produce the Result She Was Hoping For

Since the election of Donald Trump, the repeal of the Affordable Care Act has been a foregone conclusion. What replaces it is another issue entirely. The Republicans have been crowing for eight years about how Obamacare is guaranteed to drag America into a post-apocalyptic hellscape, despite the fact that portions of the initial concept came from the Heritage Foundation—a conservative think tank.

Republicans are now beginning to learn that telling people that you’re taking away their health insurance without any semblance of a plan to replace it isn’t all that palatable. Marsha Blackburn, who has been on the front lines of this battle and no doubt wanted to use her platform on Twitter to highlight the push to repeal the Affordable Care Act, was in for a rude awakening when she pushed this poll out to the masses.

As a former Presidential candidate once said: oops.
