The Best 20 Tweets on Mourinho's Weird Image Rights Dispute with Chelsea

Jose Mourinho is the new manager of Manchester United.

We think.

After the news dropped on Wednesday that The Special One was headed to Old Trafford to replace dour Dutchman Louis van Gaal, a wrinkle developed. Reports said that Mourinho’s signing with United was complicated by the strange fact that Chelsea, the team that fired him in December, still owned the rights to his name and image. Yes, it’s as weird and complicated as it sounds.

There’s every reason to think the whole thing will be sorted out in short order (or that it was all a ruse to save Louis van Gaal some pain) and that Mourinho will be holding court as the boss of the Red Devils by early next week. It’s the job Mourinho always wanted, except when he was at Chelsea, and then that was the job he always wanted.

Twitter had some fun with the news, the wrinkle, and the realization that Jose would be back on the scene to make the Premier League just a little more fun next season. Klopp, Pep, and Jose? WOOOWEEE.
