This month marks the 140th anniversary of the founding of Aston Villa Football Club, an event which will be celebrated this weekend against Southampton. However, the club has been honoring its history all week, including via this brilliant video from actor David Bradley.
David Bradley is an award-winning actor who has starred on stage in King Lear and on the big screen in numerous films, including the Harry Potter Series. More recently, Bradley has gained notoriety for portraying Walder Frey on HBO’s Game of Thrones. So, while the narrative of this video is compelling and the footage excellent, I must admit that I kept waiting for The Rains of Castamere to start playing and then Roy Keane would murder someone for the good of the Villans.
