Opening Match of the 2015 Asian Cup: Three Amazing Plays in One, 12 Second Video

The 2015 Asian Cup kicked off on Friday, with host nation Australia defeating Group A rival Kuwait with a resounding 4-1 result. Although several of the goals were particularly impressive, there’s one, 12-second section of the match that deserves special attention.

In the above video, Australia winger Matthew Leckie becomes the early frontrunner for both best run of the tournament and best cross (all done with the outside of his foot), and Kuwait goalkeeper Hameed Youssef’s brilliant kick save will likely merit mentioning for save of the tournament. The Asian Cup will run until January 31, and, if this match is any indicator, will play feature some incredibly exciting soccer at both ends of the pitch.
