Watch Seattle’s Obafemi Martins Beat Five Defenders to Score

Seattle Sounders striker Obafemi Martins is not the highest paid Designated Player in Major League Soccer (that would be teammate Clint Dempsey) but he sure played like it against Portland Timbers in the big Cascadia Cup derby on Sunday night.

With the above goal, which features two spins and five confused defenders, Martins made it 4-1 to Seattle. Portland pulled one more back, but the game was effectively over the moment Martins lifted the ball over Portland keeper Donovan Ricketts. Even the usually talkative Taylor Twellman was stuck for something to say.
