Southwest Flights are Under $100 for 72 Hours

Travel News Cheap Travel

Southwest may have “Low fares. Nothing to hide.” But they’re trying to hide these flights because you only have 72 hours to snag one of these flights for under $50.

The sale, which began just hours ago, shows one-way flights starting at $49—and, in some instances, like the famed Boise to Spokane jaunt, decreasing as low as $44—and increasing to $79, $99, or $129 each way for longer flights.

Oftentimes, with deals like these, airlines feature untraveled routes, but, here, that’s not the case. Some of the country’s most popular routes—like Chicago to NYC, LA to San Francisco and Atlanta to Chicago—cost $49 one-way, $98 round-trip. Furthermore, the shorter the route, the cheaper the flight. For example, flights throughout the Southeast—e.g. Atlanta to Orlando, Miami, etc—all cost $49 one-way.

Perhaps what makes the deal truly “a deal” in the most Trumpian sense is that Southwest’s new, international routes are included, with round-trip flights to Cancun, Puerto Rico and throughout the Caribbean costing under $300.

Those looking to take advantage of the sale must note that, for domestic flights, the sale only covers travel from Nov. 30 through Dec. 20 and from Jan. 4 through Feb. 15 and, for international flights, from Nov. 30 through Dec. 13 and from Jan. 10 through March 2. Needless to say, cheap holiday trips aren’t on the table just yet. Also, the sale excludes Friday and Saturday flights, which just means you’ll have to take a long weekend instead.

No matter what, the deal’s a bargain and you’ll have until Thursday (Oct. 6) at 11:59 p.m. to act.
