Free Meals in Coach Return to Delta

Never fear, wallet-guarding travelers, and starve no more. Thanks to feedback from a pilot test conducted last year, Delta Air Lines is bringing back free meals for the coach section of some of their longest domestic flights, including transcontinental routes. In case you were wondering: Delta is the only U.S. carrier to offer this treat to every person on board.

The complementary meals will be offered in waves, the first starting March 1 on flights between JFK in New York to Los Angeles or San Francisco. On April 24, Delta will add these yummy, fresh meals to other major flights like Seattle, Washington D.C. and Boston.

We know what you’re really wondering is, “What’s on the menu?” Depending on the time of day, travelers can chow down on items like the Honey Maple Breakfast Sandwich or the Luvo Mediterranean Whole Grain Veggie Wrap. Yum.

Long story short: out with the measly pretzels and in with the cheese plates.
