Wanna Buy The Flintstones’ City of Bedrock for $2 Million?

Bedrock is for sale.

The 30-acre plot of cheesy, roadside Americana located near the Grand Canyon comes
complete with a gift shop, a diner serving 5¢ coffee (which clearly hasn’t adjusted for inflation in 4,000 years), an RV park and campground, a volcano called “Mt. St. Wilma” and a full-size brontosaurus. Here’s the catch, though: The Flintstones branding expires upon resale, meaning Mt. St. Wilma, the brontosaurus, and 20-foot Fred Flintstone needs an update.

In its current condition, 44 years of Arizona sun seems to have taken its toll on Bedrock City, most of the infrastructure sits in rubble; Pebbles is pretty much a pebble; and the park feels
more like a ghost town than television’s Bedrock ever seemed. The asking price for the
entire city, including the owner’s four-bedroom home, is $2 million.

Still, every year, some 5 million people drive past the location of Bedrock City at the junction of highways 64 and 180 in Valle, Arizona, which, perhaps, makes the roadside attraction an ideal fixer upper for someone hoping to evolve from the Stone Age at least to the Mesolithic period.
