FX Announces Better Things Season Three Premiere Date

FX has announced that Better Things will return for season three in February.

Directed by, produced by and starring Pamela Adlon, Better Things follows Sam Fox (Adlon), a single mother and working actor raising her three daughters, Max (Mikey Madison), Frankie (Hannah Alligood) and Duke (Olivia Edward), and looking after her English expat mother, Phil (Celia Imrie).

The new season will feature several cast newcomers, including Sharon Stone, Matthew Broderick, Doug Jones, Glynn Turman, Judy Reyes, Cree Summer, Charlie Robinson, Janina Gavankar and Marsha Thomason. They are joined by returning recurring players Diedrich Bader, Greg Cromer, Rebecca Metz, Kevin Pollak and Alysia Reiner.

Adlon directs all 12 episodes of the third season, and also continues to serve as writer, executive producer and showrunner. As FX previously announced, former executive producer Louis C.K. will no longer receive compensation in the show’s forthcoming season, following his admission to sexual misconduct in fall 2017, near the time that Better Things’ most recent season ended its run.

Better Things season three premieres on FX Feb. 28 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
